ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

The article talks about how artificial intelligence (AI) is helping photographers in different ways. It explains that AI is used in digital cameras and editing software to make tasks easier and improve the quality of photos. For example, AI helps cameras focus on faces, fix red eyes, and recognize what’s in a photo. It also helps in editing photos by adjusting things like brightness and removing noise.

It mentions some free AI tools that photographers can use to create or enhance their photos. These tools make it easier to do things like generate images from text, increase photo resolution, or improve colors and lighting. They also suggest that AI can assist photographers in planning photo shoots, editing images, and organizing their photo collections.

Overall, the article emphasizes that AI is making photography simpler and better for photographers. It’s helping them save time, improve their photos, and be more creative.

WRITING ESSAY

Nature photography is a cool job where you take pictures of nature. To do this job well, you need to learn how to take good pictures. You can go to school for this or take special classes. These classes teach you how to use a camera, how to make your pictures look nice, and how to edit them. Sometimes, you can also learn by going to workshops or practicing on your own.

Nature photographers can earn money, but it might not be easy at first. Some make a good living selling their pictures or getting hired to take photos. But it depends on how good you are, who wants to buy your pictures, and how many people want your services. Some photographers also teach or do other jobs to make more money.

The main job of a nature photographer is to take awesome pictures of nature. This means you might have to go to cool places, deal with bad weather, and spend a lot of time outside. It’s not just about taking pictures, though. You also need to care about nature and not disturb animals or plants when you’re taking photos.

As you get better at photography, you can do more cool stuff. You might work with big magazines, show your pictures in galleries, or teach others how to take photos. Technology keeps getting better, so there are always new things to learn and try.

Being a nature photographer has good and bad things. It’s fun because you get to be outside and show people how beautiful nature is. But it can be hard because you might not always make a lot of money, and there are lots of other photographers out there. Overall, if you love taking pictures and being in nature, being a nature photographer can be a really cool job.

FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY

For the picture of the noodles with shrimp or lobster, I really liked the way the lighting and composition is set up. I think the lighting could have been made with a flash on the left side of the plate, I think it is very close to the plate the way the light is hitting the plate. The first plate the plate must have been served and finished cooking because the steam that is coming from the food is shown. It also adds to the photo as it catches attention and makes the plate look even better. It really makes someone want to eat that because everything looks saturated and fresh and looks like it has great flavor. The light is put to flash the left making a small shadow on the right of the plate. The picture looks like it was shot to capture both sides so they can show the whole plate. One last thing that makes the plate look good to eat is the dark background and the dark grey plate withe the table or stand they have the plate makes the food really catch the attention of people.

The second plate just looks great with the light used being low to the right and with the shadow being shown to the left. It must have been a soft light because even with the light it looks dark. The person that took the picture must have been in between the shadow and the light, capturing both sides. The shot looks more like a close up and a bit over the top, the person who is holding the plat might be tilting it forward to the camera. The saturated fruits and stuff on it really make someone crave the food, and the syrup being poured helps it. The syrup being poured by the person really catches my attention and the dark background. The pancakes being placed top of each other that way also makes the look better than the normal way of being stacked on top of each other to makes it unique. The last thing would make people crave the plate would be people in the picture eating or just holding it because it convinces people that the food tastes great.

SELF PORTRAIT BLENDED WITH YOUR CHOICE OF IMAGERY

CREATE WORK IN STYLE OF SANDY SKOGLUND

Her work consists of constructing elaborate, surrealist sets and sculptures in bright palettes and then photographing them, complete with costumed actors. Though her work might appear digitally altered, all of Skoglund’s effects are in-camera. She builds elaborate sets or tableaux, furnishing them with carefully selected colored furniture and other objects, a process of which takes her months to complete. My opinion of they work she creates is that her work is very saturated and very desaturated background at the same time. She desaturates the background and the objects to be very colorful which make them stand out. I think it is very creative that she does that while having people in the background just going about their day or talking while there are many sculptures around them.

CREATE A WORK IN THE STYLE OF WASSILY KANDINSKY

Wassily Kandinsky consists of different shapes and colors connected or spread around to have a meaning, even though it looks random. When you look at his work, you may have different perceptions on what you may see and think what it is, but it may be something different. The different colored shapes are there to try to make you picture it in your mind. I think it is very creative to do that because you catch the viewers eye to stay longer and figure out what it really is. For example, if I was asked what i see I would say a huge black shoe stepping on earth and the sun being in the background just shining, I also see a shooting star, the small yellow thing on the bottom left looks like a type of food, and a kite floating in the atmosphere.

SOCIAL AND POLITICAL ISSUE IN ART

Written assignment: I feel the way I do because I hate to see people of color still being discriminated by other. Another reason why is because people still continue to make unfunny jokes about racism, and it is not cool to be doing that because imagine if that was you be treated that way. My argument is against racism because it is not good to be treated differently because of the color of your skin or race and religion. The death of all races and skin colors to police brutality and the deportation system influenced my decision because for example the deportation of immigrants from different countries trying to come to America to live a better life instead in their home countries with government brutality and harsh rules. The flip side would be for racism, so they want people to keep this terrible path people are going to and being racist. They would want racism to be a thing because they want nothing but Americans in America and only white people. the other side might say to keep racism because they want to feel safe in their own country and want other races and skin colored people to leave America. I can see and imagine their point of view, but I thought this country is about liberty and freedom for all people that came here. The reasoning for choosing my stand is because I hate to see all races and skin colors hating each other for something someone said about another, like for example “go back to your country”. My artwork is not intended to offend anyone, matter of fact it is intended to bring all races and skin colors together. I feel like the people that are genuinely racist will feel offended because they want to keep it going and make people feel terrible. I think yes, the writer has the right to offend anyone because they are just stating their opinion on the issue, and everyone has a different perception. Yes, my project does get the point across because it shows the BLM fist in the center of all the colored fists to show that everyone should come together and stop racism. The focal point would be the huge fist or the huge stop racism.

FILE FORMATS EXPLAINED

Jpeg- Stands for Joint Photographic Expert Group, it’s the go-to file format for digital images.

Png- short for Portable Network Graphic, a type of raster image file, popular file type with web designers because it can handle graphics with transparent or semi-transparent backgrounds.

Tiff- Tag Image File Format, used to store raster store graphics and image information, way to store high quality-images before you before editing if you want to avoid lossy file formats.

Gif- Graphic Interchange Format. GIF is raster file format designed for relatively basic images that appear mainly on the internet. Each file can support up to 8 bits per pixel and can contain156 indexed colors. Allows images or frames to be combined, creating basic animations.

Raw- Uncompressed and unprocessed image data captured by digital camera or scanner’s sensors. Shooting in RAW captures a high level of image that can be edited, converted, and compressed in non-destructive manner.

Jpeg is widely used compressed format that’s great for photos, offering a good balance between file size and qualify. Png supports transparency and is lossless, making it suitable for image with sharp edges or transparency needs. Tiff is versatile and uncompressed, preserving high-quality images but resulting in larger file sizes. Gif supports animations and transparency but has a limited color palette, making it suitable for simple graphics or animations. Raw is a format that stores uncompressed sensor data from a camera, allowing photographers to retain maximum detail and adjust settings during post processing.

READ AND WRITE REVIEW

  1. What is aperture, shutter speed and ISO? Aperture is how open or shut the Lense and the more open it is the more sensitive it is to light. Shutter speed is the speed that the camera takes the picture, the higher it can catch the motion clear but let’s less light in, the lower it is the blurrier it comes out and takes longer to take the picture. ISO is the exposure to the light, the higher it is, the picture will be over exposed and Pixley, the lower the ISO, the picture comes out under exposed but better quality.
  2. When would you need to change your ISO? You would change your ISO when you were shooting outside and want to shoot inside or when the picture is over exposed or under exposed.
  3. What is aperture and shutter priority settings? The aperture priority setting sets the aperture for you automatically, but you have to set the ISO and shutter speed, shutter speed priority sets the shutter speed for you, and you have to set everything else.
  4. What are AF modes how do you change them? P(Program), TV, AV, M, A-Dep, you can change them by turning the wheel on top of the camera.
  5. Why does your need to meter the light to get the right exposure? You need to do that because if you are taking a picture of someone behind a very bright wall it will meter the wall and not the person.
  6. What is the difference between a normal, wide angle and telephoto lens? The difference between a normal and the other lenses is that normal is a default one that can zoom at a certain amount, a wide-angle lens can capture like landscapes better, telephoto can would be better for taking sports pictures and capturing the action.
  7. What is white balance and why would you need to change it? White balanced can be used if the light color of your picture is too cold or hot you can change it in settings.
  8. What is depth of field and what is the difference between shallow and good? Depth of field is capturing the object with a blurry background; a shallow depth is when the object is clear, and the background is blurred out, a good depth is when the object and the background is clear.
  9. What are drive modes and metering modes? Evaluated, center weighted, and spot.
  10. What is exposure compensation? helps you override automatic exposure adjustments your camera makes in situations with uneven light distribution, filters, non-standard processing, or underexposure or overexposure.
